Search in Turkish
Type “corba” and çorba comes up. It finds the dish without ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü, so nothing gets lost to the wrong keyboard. All 1,612 records are inside the phone; no internet needed.

From lentil soup to künefe, from kısır to white beans, 1,612 foods ship inside the app. Search, calculation and logging all happen on your phone — the app has no server, and it works the same way in aeroplane mode.
Everything is open for the first 7 days — from the day you first open the app, with no card. After that today's calories, search, water, fasting, steps and target stay free. There are no ads at all.

All seven work offline. If voice search on Android needs the Turkish speech package, the phone downloads it once when you tap «download».

1 portion, ½ portion, 2 portions — or type the grams if you know them. Calories scale proportionally. Portion weight is often a larger source of error than the calorie table, which is why correcting it sits on the first screen.

Add glass by glass or in preset amounts of 100–500 ml, and set the target yourself. It sends no notifications and keeps no streak; reaching the target shows a star.

16:8 means 16 hours fasting, an 8-hour eating window. Patterns such as 12:12, 14:10, 18:6 and 20:4 are there too, and the screen says what each one means. It does not tell you when you should eat and gives no advice — it shows elapsed time.

Steps are read from the phone's motion data on iPhone and from Health Connect on Android. On iPhone, steps taken while the app is closed are counted too. On Android, an app on your phone (e.g. the phone's own step counter) must be writing steps to Health Connect. Without permission the step screen looks empty — empty, not zero, because “no data” and “you did not walk” are different things.

Without explicit consent the daily target is 2,000 kcal. If you give a separate, optional explicit consent, a personal target (for ages 18 and over) is calculated on the phone from your height, weight, age, sex and activity level; you can also type the target yourself. The same screen logs your weight and shows the change across the last 14 measurements. Weight is not celebrated — a measurement is not a behaviour.

Tap the microphone in the search box and say “mercimek çorbası”. Speech is resolved on the device and is not sent to any server; the app keeps no audio recording. So it works only on phones that support on-device recognition: Android needs Android 13 or later, and on phones without support the microphone button does not appear. If the Turkish package is missing we offer to download it; if you don't tap, nothing is downloaded.

The features, one by one. The right column says whether it is free or part of the subscription.

There is no setup wizard. After you accept the opening notice the app opens on the Today screen; permissions are asked when you first use that feature, and what they are for is written beforehand.
Set the target
Without explicit consent the target is 2,000 kcal. With consent it is calculated from height, weight, age, sex and activity level, or you type it yourself. The target is not an upper limit but an anchor.
Add the food
Search by name or, if your phone supports it, tap the microphone and say it. Pick the meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack.
Correct the portion
Choose a portion button or type the grams. Ingredient ratios vary in home cooking; if you know the grams, type your own number.
See the day
The today screen shows the total, the meal breakdown and the water · steps · fasting · target tools in one place.
The opening notice appears on first launch (again if the text changes): it sets out which data is processed, where it is kept, and your rights. The explicit consent for weight and the personal target is a separate text, ticked separately, and optional.

We could not find an open calorie table covering home cooking that the app could use freely. So the values are not taken from a table published by any official body: they were compiled by us based on the known nutrient composition of foods, typical recipe ratios and the water change during cooking, and AI was used in that compilation.
We also measured how far off they are: an independent comparison across 59 foods put the median deviation at 8%. This means individual values can deviate less or more than that; the calorie values are approximate.
Also, a dish has no single fixed calorie value. The same dish is naturally variable — a cut of meat can be anywhere between 107 and 189 calories per 100 grams depending on the animal and the cut. More often than not, the larger source of error is not the table but the portion weight, which is why correcting the grams is one of the easiest things to do in the app.
The app carries the same information: the dish detail screen shows the “≈ approximate” marker and a “this value is approximate” note. The ≈ sign shows that the value is approximate.
What is free and what is in the subscription is set out below. The table describes Kararında only; it does not compare other apps.
Kararında is not in the app stores yet. The prices below are for the upcoming release; the subscription begins when the app goes live in the store. We are not taking any payment at this point — and the trial clock only starts on the day you first open the app.
The clock starts when you first open the app, after you accept the opening notice. For 7 days all of the subscription features are open — day-by-day history, 15 days of step history, voice command. No card is asked for and nothing charges itself. When the 7 days end those three features close; the rest of the app keeps working for free. You can check during this time that voice command works on your phone.
0 ₺
3,000 ₺/year
Paying the same 12 months monthly would come to 4,200 ₺.
1,200 ₺ less
Works out to ₺250 a month.
Your records are not deleted. If the subscription ends your history does not disappear — only day-by-day history, step history and voice command close. When you subscribe again your records show up again. Your records stay on this phone; we hold no copy of them.
350 ₺/month
If you do not cancel, the subscription renews itself at the end of each period. You can turn renewal off at any time from your phone's store account settings; the charge is taken from your store account when you confirm the purchase.
Prices are in Turkish lira and the amount shown by the store is the one that applies. The paid features concern display: your log keeps being recorded even without a subscription.

Kararında does not send your records to us or to anyone else; we have no server for the app to connect to. You are not asked to create an account, and you are not asked for your name, email or phone number.
