Child Safety Standards — Cloister
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Cloister is for adults only (18 and over). Child sexual abuse and exploitation is the most serious violation on Cloister. These standards explain what is not allowed, how to report it, what we do and whom to contact.
1. What is not allowed
These rules are part of our Terms of Use (section 6) and Community Guidelines (section 1). We have zero tolerance for:
- any content that sexualizes a person under 18, real or fictional, including stories, fantasies, "age-play" or jokes;
- sexual conversations with someone who is, says they are, or appears to be under 18, and asking them for images, arranging to meet them, or offering them anything in exchange;
- links to, requests for, or offers of sexual material involving minors;
- threatening to expose someone's intimate images or information to get money, favors or more images ("sextortion"), whatever their age;
- identifying a victim of child sexual abuse;
- content that promotes or normalizes sexual attraction to children.
2. How to report
- In the app. You can report any entry, profile or message. Choose "Involves a minor (child safety)".
- By email. Write to growevolve.business@gmail.com with the username and what you saw.
- If a child is in danger, call 911. You can also report to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
When you report in the app, we save a copy of what you reported at that moment, so it can be reviewed even if the content is later deleted. The person you reported is never told who reported them. We review reports in order, putting child safety first.
3. What we do
- When something is reported as involving a minor, the messaging of the account involved is paused automatically until a person has reviewed the report.
- A person reviews the report. If it shows child sexual exploitation, we remove the content, suspend and close the account immediately, and try to keep the person from coming back.
- We keep the evidence, for at least 1 year, as federal law requires.
- We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as federal law requires. The report is made by a person at Cloister after review; it is not sent automatically.
- We respond to valid legal process from law enforcement (Privacy Policy, section 8).
4. Laws we follow
We follow the U.S. child-safety laws that apply to us. That includes the federal duty to report apparent child sexual exploitation to NCMEC and to preserve the material. Our Terms and Community Guidelines apply to everyone who uses Cloister.
5. Who to contact
Contact for child-safety reports: Child Safety Contact, Cloister (NewEvolve)
This contact can receive notices about child sexual abuse and exploitation and talk about how we enforce these standards.
