KavlaPet Terms of Use
Last updated October 24, 2026 · version 2026-10-24 · Privacy Policy
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Zeyneddin Hasan Erdönmez, doing business as NewEvolve ("we", "us"), the developer of the KavlaPet app. Section 7 describes your license to use the app (on iPhone it is granted under Apple's Standard EULA); these Terms add the rules for KavlaPet's reminders, households and subscriptions. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
Section 13 describes what remains your responsibility when you use KavlaPet, including reminders and the people you invite to a household. Please read it carefully.
By using KavlaPet you agree to these Terms. When you save your first reminder, create or join a household, or buy a KavlaPet plan, the app asks you to confirm that you agree to the version in effect at that time, and records that version. If you do not agree, please do not use KavlaPet.
1. What KavlaPet is
KavlaPet is a record-keeping and reminder app for pet care. You enter information about your pets (such as meals, walks, weight, vaccines and medications) and set reminders. Everything is stored on your phone unless you choose to share pets through a household (section 5).
KavlaPet shows only what you and the members of your household enter. It organizes what you enter — for example in charts and in the health summary for your vet — but adds no assessment of its own, and it does not check whether what you enter is right.
2. Not veterinary advice
KavlaPet does not give veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. It does not recommend vaccines, doses, schedules or products, does not check doses or combinations of medicines, and does not assess your pet's health. Records and reports you create in KavlaPet, including the PDF for your vet, are lists of what was entered; they are not medical records.
Always follow your veterinarian's instructions and the directions on any medicine. If your pet may be sick, injured or poisoned, contact a veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital right away. Do not wait for, or rely on, a reminder in KavlaPet.
3. Reminders can be late or missed
Reminders are notifications that your phone schedules and shows. Whether and when they appear depends on things outside our control, including your notification settings, Focus and Do Not Disturb, Low Power Mode or battery saver, the time zone and clock on your phone, limits iOS and Android put on how many notifications an app can schedule, the app being deleted or offloaded, and other people in your household marking a task done or changing it. On Android, KavlaPet does not use exact alarms, so Android may show a reminder some minutes after the time you set, for example when the phone is idle.
Reminders may be late, missed, shown more than once, or shown after a task was already done. Do not use KavlaPet as your only way to remember care that matters for your pet's health, such as medication. "Done by" labels show what a household member marked in the app; they do not confirm that the task really happened.
KavlaPet schedules reminders ahead of time on your phone, and the phone limits how many it can keep. Daily and weekly reminders are scheduled for about the next two weeks, or fewer days if you have many reminders. If you don't open KavlaPet during that time, they stop until you open it again; a last notification asks you to open the app. If syncing is paused, a phone is offline, or a member has no seat, what one person marks does not reach the others. Check with each other before giving a medication again.
4. Who can use KavlaPet
KavlaPet is offered in the United States and is not directed to children under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use KavlaPet only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms for you; a parent or guardian is responsible for a minor's use, including in a household.
Age check. In places where the law requires apps to check the age of the people using them (for example, Texas), KavlaPet asks your phone's app store for your age range when it opens: on iPhone through Apple's Declared Age Range feature, on Android through Google Play's age signals. If the age range shows that you are under 13, KavlaPet can't be used on that phone. If you don't share it where the law requires it, the app asks for it again before it opens; on Android, if Google Play says your age has not been verified there, the app asks you to verify it in the Play Store first. In those places, the app store may also ask a parent or guardian to approve downloads and purchases for users under 18.
You must also comply with section 18 (legal compliance).
5. Households
A household lets people share pets. Creating or joining one is optional. While you are in a household:
- The pets shared with the household, and everything attached to them (profile details, entries and their notes, reminders, vaccines and medications), are visible to and can be changed or deleted by every member. Photos are not shared.
- The person who created the household is its manager. Only the manager can create or cancel invite codes and remove other members. If the manager leaves, the member who has been in the household longest becomes the manager. Anyone signed in with the Apple Account (on iPhone) or Google Account (on Android) that pays for the household's subscription can restore the household on another phone of the same kind (Settings → Household): that phone becomes the manager and receives the shared pets, and the phone that last sent that subscription is removed. This also works for someone who left the household earlier, while their subscription still pays for it.
- Invite codes are single-use and expire after 48 hours. The manager can give access with no end date or until a chosen date. A removed person cannot rejoin with an old code.
- When someone leaves or is removed, what they entered stays with the household and is shown as "Former member". A copy of the shared pets they already have on their phone stays on their phone.
- A member can instead choose Delete what I added and leave. Their entries and done marks, and the pets, reminders, vaccines and medications they added that no one else has changed or used, are then deleted for everyone in the household. Anything another member also uses stays with the household, without their name.
- You are responsible for who you invite and for what you share. Do not enter another person's private information, or anything illegal, in notes.
- If the household's plan ends or has fewer seats than members, members can still see the household's records, but new changes from some or all members stay on their phones until a seat is available (section 6).
Deleting the app does not take you out of a household; use Settings → Household → Leave household. On Android, deleting the app also removes that phone's household key, so after reinstalling you need a new invite code, or Restore if your account pays for the household.
6. KavlaPet subscriptions
Free first week. New subscribers get the first 7 days of a KavlaPet plan free, once per Apple Account or Google Account. You start the free week by choosing a plan in the app and confirming with Apple or Google Play; nothing is charged during the week. Unless you cancel before the week ends — on iPhone, at least 24 hours before it ends — the subscription continues at the plan's price and then renews automatically (see "Billing and automatic renewal").
Without a plan, adding new pets, entries, weights, reminders, vaccines and medications is not available. You can still see, search, export and delete everything you saved, edit what is already there and mark reminders done, and the reminders you set up keep sending notifications. Syncing with our server also needs a plan.
There are three plans. A plan lets you add records on the phones signed in with the Apple Account or Google Account that pays for it. To share pets with other people, or to keep them on our server, you also set up a household, and the plan then gives the household its seats. While a plan is active, the household's shared pets are kept on our server so that they come back to a member's new or reset iPhone; this is not a backup (section 9).
- KavlaPet Solo — the buyer only (1 seat); no one else can join.
- KavlaPet Family — the buyer plus 1 more person (2 seats).
- KavlaPet Family Plus — the buyer plus 3 more people (4 seats).
Each plan is offered monthly or yearly at the price shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play before you buy. Each person in the household uses KavlaPet on their own phone (iPhone or Android); Apple Family Sharing is not needed and is not offered for these plans.
Billing and automatic renewal on iPhone. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Canceling stops future renewals; the current period continues until it ends.
Billing and automatic renewal on Android. Payment is charged to your Google Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free week ends. A subscription renews automatically at the same price and length until you cancel it. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Canceling stops future renewals; the current period continues until it ends.
Leaving a household or deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple for App Store purchases and by Google Play for Google Play purchases, under their own policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds. If Apple or Google Play refunds a purchase and ends the subscription, the plan it paid for ends.
Changes. We may change prices or plans. Apple and Google Play tell subscribers about price increases as their rules require, and may ask for your consent.
One household at a time. A subscription gives seats to one household. If you choose to use it in another household, it moves there and the first household loses those seats.
7. License
On iPhone, your license to use KavlaPet is granted by us under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA", https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). These Terms add to the Standard EULA; if the two conflict about your license to use the app, the Standard EULA controls.
On Android, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use KavlaPet on Android devices that you own or control, under these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy (except as the law allows), modify, reverse-engineer, rent, lend, sell or redistribute KavlaPet.
On any phone, you may not attempt to access our server other than through the app, or use KavlaPet to harm others.
8. Your content
What you enter remains yours. To run households, you allow us to store and transmit the content of shared pets to the members of your household. We do not look at stored records except to keep the service running, to investigate a security problem or a report (below), or when the law requires it (see the Privacy Policy).
What is not allowed in a household. Do not enter or share anything that is illegal; that threatens, harasses or bullies someone; that is sexually explicit; that promotes violence, hatred or self-harm; that infringes someone else's rights; or that reveals another person's private information without their permission.
Reporting. To report a member or something entered in your household, tap Report next to that member, or Report a problem, in Settings → Household, or email us (section 20) with the household ID. The household's manager can remove a member at any time (section 5). We review the reports we receive, and we may remove a member, delete a household's server data or suspend its access to the server (section 10).
9. Backups and your data
Records that are not in a household exist only on your phone. You are responsible for keeping backups (Settings → Backup; on iPhone, your iPhone backup also includes KavlaPet's data; on Android, KavlaPet's data is not included in the Google backup of your phone). We cannot recover records that were only on a lost or reset phone. A household's server copy is not a backup service: deleting a record deletes it for everyone, and when the last member leaves, the household's server data is deleted. The same is true with KavlaPet Solo.
10. Availability and changes
The household server may be unavailable at times, for maintenance or for reasons outside our control; the app keeps working on your phone and syncs later. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever stop the household service, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days in advance. If a paid period would be cut short, you can ask for a refund of the unused part: from Apple for App Store purchases, or from us for Google Play purchases. Your records stay on your phone.
We may suspend a household's access to the server if it is used to break the law, to attack the service, or in a way that threatens the service or other users.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KAVLAPET IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not promise that KavlaPet will be uninterrupted or error-free, that reminders will appear, or that data will never be lost.
Some states do not allow these disclaimers; in that case they apply only to the extent the law allows.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF KAVLAPET, INCLUDING FROM A MISSED OR LATE REMINDER, FROM WHAT OTHER MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD ENTER, CHANGE OR DELETE, OR FROM ANY DECISION ABOUT YOUR PET'S CARE; AND (b) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO KAVLAPET IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR KAVLAPET IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for gross negligence or willful misconduct where the law does not allow it to be limited.
13. Your responsibilities
KavlaPet is a tool that helps you keep records and reminders for your pets. Caring for your pets, and the choices you make in the app, remain your responsibility. In particular:
- Your pets' care. Meals, walks, medication, vaccinations and visits to the vet are decisions you make and carry out. KavlaPet helps you record and plan them; it does not provide or supervise that care.
- Reminders. A reminder — for example for a meal, a walk, a medication or a vaccine — may not sound or appear, for the reasons described in section 3. Please make sure that care that matters for your pet's health happens on time, including when a reminder does not sound.
- What you add, change or remove. You are responsible for the pets, records, reminders and notes you add, for keeping them up to date, and for anything you change or remove. Removed records may not be recoverable (section 9).
- People you invite. When you share an invite code, you decide who joins your household; we do not check who uses a code. Each member is responsible for what they add, change or remove, and the manager is responsible for who keeps access (section 5). Please share invite codes only with people you know.
- How you use the app's features. You decide which features to use and how to set them up, including notifications, households, backups, the records you share with others and the plans you buy.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss or harm — to you, to others or to your pet — that results from a reminder that did not sound or appear, from what you or other members of your household entered, changed or removed, from who you invited, or from a decision about your pet's care. Section 12 also applies.
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover claims, losses and reasonable costs brought by others against us that arise from content you enter in a household, from your breach of these Terms, or from your violation of the law or of someone else's rights.
14. Ending
You can stop using KavlaPet at any time: leave your household and delete the app. These Terms end for you when you do, except sections 2, 3, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17, which continue.
15. Questions and disputes
If you have a concern or a claim about KavlaPet, please contact us first (section 20) with a description of the problem, what you would like us to do, and the household ID shown in Settings → Household (if any). Before starting a formal claim, you agree to give us 60 days to try to resolve it with you. If we have a concern about your use of KavlaPet, we will contact you through the app or any contact details you gave us.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. state where you live and applicable U.S. federal law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your state.
17. Apple
If you got KavlaPet from Apple's App Store, you and we acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for KavlaPet and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for KavlaPet. Support is provided by us (section 20).
- If KavlaPet fails to conform to any warranty that applies and has not been disclaimed, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for KavlaPet to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to KavlaPet, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, subject to these Terms.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to KavlaPet or your possession or use of it, including (i) product liability claims, (ii) claims that KavlaPet fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
- If a third party claims that KavlaPet or your possession and use of it infringes that party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
These Terms do not limit our liability to you beyond what the law allows.
18. Legal compliance and third-party terms
You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
When you use KavlaPet you must also comply with applicable third-party terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (on iPhone), the Google Play Terms of Service (on Android) and your wireless carrier's data plan.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, the app tells you, and saving a reminder, creating or joining a household or buying a plan after that asks you to agree to the new version.
These Terms and the Standard EULA are the entire agreement between you and us about KavlaPet. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, we have not waived it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them to someone who takes over KavlaPet and agrees to them.
