Terms of Use — NutriCitadel
Last updated: 21 October 2026
The short version. NutriCitadel is a food and activity
log. It is not medical advice and not a medical device.
Most of it is free forever, and your first 7 days open everything
except the daily photos — no card, and nothing starts charging on its
own. After that, one optional auto-renewing subscription — $99.99 per
year, or $12.99 per month (twelve monthly payments
come to $155.88, so the yearly plan saves $55.89) —
unlocks meal photos, history and a few other features. You can cancel any time
in your App Store or Google Play settings, and there is no account and
no card needed to try the app.
1. Who this agreement is between
These terms are between you and NewEvolve, the publisher of NutriCitadel ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
NutriCitadel is offered in the United States. We do not target it at other markets, and its food database is built from U.S. sources.
2. What the app is — and what it is not
NutriCitadel helps you record what you eat and some daily activity. It shows numbers that come from public nutrition data or from your phone's own sensors.
- It is not medical advice. Nothing in the app diagnoses, treats, prevents or monitors any disease or condition.
- It is not a medical device. It is a general wellness and record-keeping tool.
- It does not replace a professional. Nutrient needs differ during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in childhood, and with many medical conditions. The app uses general adult reference values and does not adjust for any of these. If any apply to you, talk to a qualified professional rather than relying on these numbers.
- Calorie, macro and nutrient values come from the source record we cite. We do not invent missing values — where a source has no value, the app shows nothing rather than a guess.
- Values shown for packaged foods are label declarations provided by the food industry, not laboratory measurements.
- Step counts, distances and estimated burn come from your phone's sensor. They are estimates, and phones differ.
You are responsible for decisions you make about your own diet and health.
3. Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old to use NutriCitadel. The app is not designed for children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. There is no account, and what you enter stays on your phone (see the Privacy Policy).
4. Accounts
There is no account. You do not register, we do not ask for your name or email, and nothing you log is tied to an identity on our side. Almost everything lives on your phone, and removing the app removes it. For what we may hold — an email you sent us — write to us and we will delete it.
5. The free part
These stay free, with no time limit and no card: barcode scanning, food search, calories and macros for the current day, your daily target, the fasting timer, the step counter, the water counter, and a small number of meal photos to try. If you subscribe and later stop, the app keeps working — these do not switch off.
6. Subscription terms
- What it is: NutriCitadel Yearly — an auto-renewing subscription.
- Length and price: $99.99 per year, or
$12.99 per month (U.S. dollars). Twelve monthly payments
come to
$155.88, so the yearly plan saves $55.89. The price shown in the app at the moment of purchase is the price that applies. - Free trial: your first 7 days, counted from the moment you first open the app, unlock every paid feature except the daily photo allowance — photos stay at the 9 trial photos for the whole period. No card is required and the trial does not turn into a paid subscription by itself; when the 7 days end, those features simply close until you choose to subscribe.
- What it unlocks: daily meal photos, day-by-day history for food, steps and weight, voice logging, and the full nutrient detail of a food.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for another year unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- How to cancel: in your Apple ID subscription settings on iPhone, or Google Play → Subscriptions on Android. Cancelling stops the next charge; the current period continues until it ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Payment is handled by the store, not by us. We never see your card. Purchases are charged to your Apple or Google account.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue them ourselves, but tell us if something went wrong and we will help where we can.
- Your price is locked. As long as your subscription stays active, what you pay when you subscribe is what you keep paying. Any future increase applies to new subscribers only. If we ever have to change this, we will say so before it affects you, and you can cancel.
- No trial that charges you. The free meal photos need no card and nothing starts billing on its own.
7. Your data
What you log stays on your phone. The only things that leave it are a meal photo you choose to take, which goes with a random device identifier to our server and on to Google's Gemini model to produce an estimate, and, on Android, a photo result you choose to report, which goes only to our server. Details, including what we do not do, are in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
8. Fair use
Please do not: copy or redistribute the app's food database as a dataset; take it apart to rebuild a competing database; automate requests to our photo service; or use the app to break the law. We may stop service to an installation that does these things.
9. What belongs to whom
The app, its design and its text belong to us. The underlying nutrition data comes from USDA FoodData Central (U.S. Department of Agriculture), which is in the public domain, and reference values follow U.S. Food and Drug Administration labelling values. Naming a source is attribution, not endorsement — neither agency endorses this app. Product names and brands belong to their owners.
10. Availability
We do not promise the app is always available or error-free. Parts of it need your phone's sensors or an internet connection, and those can fail. The meal photo feature depends on a third-party model and may change or stop.
11. Disclaimer and limits
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and you may have rights under consumer law that these terms do not affect.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top says when. If a change materially affects a subscription you already have, we will make it visible in the app before it applies to you.
