Terms of Use — CivioraMed
Effective date: 13 October 2026 · Version: 1.7
Changes in 1.7 (13 October 2026): section 5 now says plainly that all source information in the app is free to read without limit and is not sold, and that the subscription pays only for an in-app convenience tool. Nothing else changed.
Changes in 1.6 (13 October 2026): sections 2 and 10 now say plainly how content is shown: quoted text is word for word, long sections are shown as an excerpt from their start, short notes we write appear without quotation marks, a few lists are computed from the sources and say so, and a drug page shows the labeling of one product of that drug. Content does not update automatically. LactMed is published by NICHD.
Changes in 1.5 (9 October 2026): section 5 now opens with a short summary of what is free and what is paid. The rules themselves did not change.
Changes in 1.4 (9 October 2026): the minimum age is now 18, and section 3 says how the app may confirm it. Nothing else changed.
Changes in 1.3 (7 October 2026): searching by condition, drug or test name, and reading every page, is now free without limit. The 20 free uses and the subscription now apply only to searching by sign (sections 5, 6, 7 and 8). Prices did not change.
Changes in 1.2 (6 October 2026): sections 5 and 13 now point to the in-app Delete my account now button, which deletes your record right away without an email. Nothing else changed.
Changes in 1.1 (28 September 2026): sections 4 and 7 now describe the anonymous identifier correctly — our sign-in service creates it when you accept the disclaimer (not the app, and not at launch) — and point to the sign-in session record the privacy policy now lists. Sections 2, 6, 8, 9 and 10 now describe the content precisely: drug labeling is written by manufacturers and published by FDA, drug pages show the first sentences of each labeling section, name matches are ordered by how closely they match, and content is refreshed periodically.
These terms are written so that a clinician can read them in five minutes. Where the app itself already says something (the medical disclaimer you accept on first launch, the privacy policy), these terms point to it rather than restate it in different words — two versions of the same promise drift apart.
1. Who this agreement is between
You, the person using CivioraMed, and NewEvolve, the publisher
(growevolve.business@gmail.com). By installing or using the
app you accept these terms, the privacy
policy and the medical disclaimer shown in the app.
2. What the app is — and what it is not
CivioraMed is a reference library for U.S. healthcare professionals. It shows text from U.S. government sources — FDA drug labeling; the National Library of Medicine's MedlinePlus, MeSH and RxNorm; and LactMed, published by NICHD and hosted by the National Library of Medicine — word for word, under each agency's published terms: in full or, for long sections, as an excerpt from the start. It names the source of every quoted item so you can check it against the original. Short notes we write appear without quotation marks, and the few lists the app computes from these sources (for example, conditions that share symptoms) say how they were derived. A drug page shows the labeling of one product of that drug; its route and prescription or OTC status appear under the name, and other products' labeling is not shown.
It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease; it makes no recommendation about the care of any patient; it contains no dosage calculator and computes no clinical or patient-specific numbers (no doses, scores or likelihoods); it does not rank conditions by likelihood. The full disclaimer, which you must accept before the first search, is the governing statement of what the app does not do.
3. Who may use it
The app is made for healthcare professionals and students of the health professions in the United States. On first launch you confirm that you are one, and that you accept the medical disclaimer. The app is offered in the United States only. You must be at least 18 years old. The app may ask your device to confirm your age range before it opens; the range is used only for that check and is not stored.
4. No account
There is no sign-up, login, password or profile. When you accept the disclaimer, our sign-in service creates one random, anonymous identifier to record that acceptance, and the app keeps a copy on your device. Because there is no account, there is nothing to recover if you lose the device — except a subscription, which lives in your App Store or Google Play account (section 6).
5. The free part
In short:
- Free, without limit: all source information — every FDA, NIH and National Library of Medicine text in the app — and looking up conditions, drugs and medical tests by name. We do not sell this information.
- Paid: one tool, an in-app convenience — the fast search from a sign to the conditions whose sources list it. Every condition it finds can also be found free by name.
- The first 20 sign searches are free — a one-time total, not monthly. No card is asked for.
- After that, a subscription: $12.99 per month or $99.00 per year (U.S. dollars), billed through the App Store (or Google Play on Android) — never by us directly.
- No ads, and we do not sell your data.
Searching by condition, drug or medical-test name, and opening and reading every page, is free, without limit and without a subscription.
The subscription is for one tool we built: searching by sign — typing one or more signs and seeing the conditions whose sources list them. Each installation includes 20 free sign searches in total — a one-time allowance, not a monthly one; it does not reset. A sign search is counted only when you tap Show these conditions on a result; typing a search never counts, and going back to a search you already opened while the app stays open does not count again. The counter is kept on your device only. After the 20, searching by sign requires a subscription. Everything else — every page, the About page, the privacy policy, deleting your account, restoring a purchase — stays available without one.
6. Subscription terms
What it is. An auto-renewing subscription, sold and billed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, never by us directly.
Plans and prices (U.S. dollars): $12.99 per month or $99.00 per year. Twelve monthly payments come to $155.88, so the yearly plan costs $56.88 less. The price shown in the app at the moment of purchase is the price that applies; if the store's price and this page ever differ, the store's price is the one you pay.
What it gives you. Unlimited searches by sign. It unlocks no text: every page, including every sentence a sign search quotes, can be read free of charge on that condition's page. Nothing else changes: the same verbatim text, the same source named on every statement, the same order of results.
No free trial, no introductory offer. The 20 free sign searches are how you try the paid tool; no card is asked for them and nothing starts charging on its own.
Automatic renewal. The subscription renews at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — the app's About page has a Manage subscription button that opens them. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds. Payment is taken by the store, so refunds follow the store's own policy and are requested from the store, not from us. We cannot see or refund your payment ourselves.
Restoring. If you reinstall the app or change devices, tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen; the store confirms your subscription and searching by sign becomes unlimited again. The app also asks the store at every launch.
If you stop paying. Searching by sign returns to the 20-use rule (the counter on the device is not reset); searching by name and every page stay free. Nothing you saw is deleted — there is no saved data to delete.
7. Your data
What the app stores, where and why is set out in full in the privacy policy. In one sentence: our database holds one anonymous identifier, your acceptance of the disclaimer and a sign-in session record whose IP address and device string we erase within one hour; your device keeps the identifier, the disclaimer version, the free sign-search counter, the subscription status and the sign-in token; searches are sent without your identifier and are not stored; payment details never reach us.
8. Fair use
The app is for a person to read. Do not use automated tools to extract its content in bulk, attempt to bypass the free sign-search limit or the subscription check, or interfere with the service that serves the content. The sources themselves are freely available directly from the agencies that publish them; we are not the only way to read them.
9. What belongs to whom
The content — drug labeling that manufacturers submit and FDA publishes through openFDA under a CC0 public-domain dedication, and National Library of Medicine text — belongs to its sources, not to us; we claim no rights in it and we do not alter the sentences we reproduce. NewEvolve is an independent developer and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of those agencies. The app's own software, arrangement, search and design are ours. The names CivioraMed and NewEvolve are ours.
10. Availability
The app needs a connection to load content and the required notice; it does not work offline. We may change, suspend or discontinue the app or any part of it. Content does not update automatically: we retrieve it in advance and refresh it ourselves from time to time. Each item shows its source and the date we obtained it, and labeling that has not changed for a long time is flagged. Drug pages show the opening of each labeling section; a Boxed Warning is shown in full. We do not promise that any item is current or complete — check the source, which every item names.
11. Disclaimer and limits
Clinical verification and the final decision are yours. To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and you may have rights under consumer law that these terms do not affect.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date and version at the top say when. If a change materially affects a subscription you already have, we will make it visible in the app before it applies to you.
13. Contact
growevolve.business@gmail.com — or the support
page. To delete your record, tap Delete my account now on
the app's About page; it deletes everything linked to your anonymous
identifier right away, with no email needed.
These terms describe version 1.0.0 of the app.
